The LONG wait is turning longer. My aunt just said, "Ok, it's starting to creep." We're getting a little restless.
Dad's been in surgery for 4 hours and 15 minutes. We have no updates, and do not know how much longer it's going to be. The family waiting room is slowly emptying out as their family members are done. We'll probably be one of the last families to leave.
I just saw a surgeon walk in and my stomach flipped, but he wasn't dad's.
Still waiting...
My Mama's getting anxious. So am I.

Reading everyone's comments makes me feel like we're all waiting together, in our different places in the world, checking in on your blog throughout the day... praying.. waiting... loving you guys so much! You have been in my thoughts and prayers all day long.

We are praying for all of you as we know how hard it is to wait. How comforting to know that he is totally in the hands of a loving Heavenly Father. We love you all so much and will keep praying and waiting for updates.
Abby, We prayed for your dad at First Baptist Church in Arlington Heights, Illinois, tonight. I've followed your blog today. Was hoping to read that the surgery was over by the time I got home from church. Waiting is so hard! I've been praying for your dad ever since I met your Aunt Sarah last week at a ladies' retreat in Elyria, Ohio, and she told me about the surgery. Please assure your mom and other family members that lots of people are praying!

It's 1:19am there in Philly and I'm awake and still praying. My parents just called me "on the road". Good news. Love you.
